All of us are working for somebody’s kingdom, the real question is whose? If Christ was to return in this exact moment, could you honestly say that you were gathering or scattering? That’s a serious question we all must ask ourselves. If you are reading this, you are probably with Jesus, but the second half of the statement is what we must to focus on.
40 Days of Prayer and Fasting
DAY 33: The Strong Man Satan and His Armor Have Been Defeated
“The struggle continues, but victory is certain!” For the life of me I cannot remember who I was talking with that shared this statement that has become one of my spiritual mantras.
Although there may be struggle, we must realize that victory is certain!
What I received through revelation was that through prayer, meditation, and choice I had armor to combat and defeat the armor that Satan had trusted, because Jesus the one stronger came in and overcame Satan. When Jesus says he took his armor, he took the effects of his armor on believers, Satan’s armor still exists and trust me he’s still using everything in his armor every day, but the good news is that the struggle continues but victory is certain because Jesus has overcome the strong man Satan!
Day 32: The Power in The Kingdom of God
Do you use your finger for heavy things or light things? Jesus is telling us that whatever we feel may have us bound and needs to be cast out of our lives is a light thing for God through prayer and belief.
More and more automobiles are coming equipped with a push button ignition. Think of how much power you are controlling when you push the start button in a car. If you drive a standard car, you have just ignited a 350-pound combustible bomb called an engine, which powers a 3,000-pound machine with unimaginable speed and power. This machine has the power to get you just about anywhere you want to go on land and can be a life changing force for good or be transformed into deadly weapon of force. All that power started with just one finger. How much more power do you think is in the finger of God to ignite change in your life, to drive transformation, and move you from where you are to where you want to be?
DAY 31: Hypocrisy Will Be Judged
Hypocrisy is saying one thing and doing another. What I learned on the journey is that the real danger of the hypocrisy exposed in our text is that through our duplicitous words and actions we are unleashing condemnation on ourselves unnecessarily. The truth is that God has covered a lot of our sins and faults, but when we act like we have not done the same and worse things that we are condemning others for, we are simply setting ourselves up for our hypocrisy to be judged! And what makes it even worse, is who the text says will do the judging.
DAY 30: A Kingdom Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand
Do you ever feel spiritually and emotionally empty or like you’re having trouble consistently standing firm in the calling of God on your life? Yeah me too, but this is what I received from the Lord to help me, and I pray it does the same for you!
DAY 29: Jesus Has Overcome the Strong Man Satan
Be of good courage and be encouraged because Jesus has already overcome the strong man Satan, which means that victory is certain! As believers, we already know how the story ends. But the truth is that sometimes even though we know how the story ends it is extremely difficult on us while the story is still playing itself out.
DAY 28: The Father’s Gift
Luke 11:1-13 has taught us a lot about prayer. But listen to the final lesson of Jesus, as we are reminded of the disciple’s original request, “Lord teach us to pray.” After laying out the litany of look-a-like blessings of stones, serpents, and scorpions; Jesus concludes by responding, “how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
DAY 27: What Father Among You?
Scripture: Luke 11:13 Key Verse: If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! Spiritual B3: Today we will dig a little deeper into the nature of look-a-like blessings: stones, serpents (eel), and scorpions. As …
DAY 26: How Much More Will Your Heavenly Father
Thank God that even our earthly fathers and mothers know how to give good gifts, but how much more will our Heavenly Father give to those who ask?
DAY 25: How to Knock and Doors Open
Knock like you belong there and watch the door open. The journey has revealed to me that the difference is in the knock. What I lacked was confidence even though I had seen the evidence. I always felt like I was qualified but unfit to ask, then I made a decision to start doing the things I have shared on this journey and literally watched my life change before my very eyes. Through your prayer and meditation begin asking God to show you the past and equally important present evidence.
